What separates Acoustica from other recording bundles is its simplicity and power. While other leading audio recording suites focus on power, often at the expense of a user-friendly interface, Acoustica have clearly designed the applications included in Musician's Bundle from the ground up for simple operation. Mixcraft's recording interface is simple and user-friendly, yet also powerful enough to appeal to professional users and serious digital musicians.
The bundled Beatcraft software is ideal for digital musicians and hobbyists. As a large amount of digital musicians record and compose on their own, the inclusion of beat mixing and sequencing software makes Acoustica Musician's Bundle an ideal all-purpose recording suite for solo artists. Drum loops can be configured and sequenced, and even coupled with MIDI instruments and recorded tracks.
However, despite the obvious advantages of a bundled software package, Acoustica Musician's Bundle isn't without its own set of problems. While a range of sound effects, MIDI recording samples, and drum sample libraries are included, they're recorded and encoded at a significantly lower quality level than competing recording packages. Alongside the low quality issues are problems with clashing volume levels - Acoustica's sample tracks are recorded at a very low volume level, and matching recorded tracks can often result in distortion.
Recording MIDI tracks, while simple with the right equipment, can require a sizable upfront investment for many musicians. Controlling MIDI tracks is only possible with the addition of an external MIDI control interface - an additional expense beside the software - as Acoustica does not offer any software-based control options.
Despite the minor issues, Acoustica Musician's Bundle is a very worthwhile software package for digital musicians and recording artists. Offering a high quality bundle of recording and sequencing programs, a consistent user-friendly interface, and a wide range of tools for experimentation, Acoustica Musician's Bundle is one of the most comprehensive and user-friendly recording applications available.
