Acoustica 4 is an ideal solution for audio editing and mastering. The program contains everything you need to create great sounding recordings and audio CDs, including professional tools for recording, analysis, editing and CD burning. The Acoustica user interface was designed with speed, accuracy and ease of use in mind. The support for audio resolutions up to 32 bit and sampling rates up to 192 kHz allows you to record and edit in an amazing audio quality.
A large range of high quality audio tools and effects are integrated in Acoustica - including tools for dynamic processing, equalizing, numerous effects such as reverb, chorus and flanger, as well time stretching and key transposition tools. Recordings distorted by noise, clicks, crackle, clipping or missing high frequency content can be restored. The support for DirectX and VST plug-ins allows you to use tools and effects from other third party manufacturers directly from Acoustica.

Acoustica Inc.'s latest audio editing application, Acoustica 4 Standard Edition, is a powerful editing suite, recording bundle, and digital music tool. Designed to combine the most powerful aspects of different digital music tools - multi-track editing, bundled VSTi effects and plug-ins, and high quality exporting options - into a consumer-level product, Acoustica 4 Standard Edition brings tools once reserved for a digital recording studio into the home. With a revised interface and user-friendly editing system, Acoustica 4 is the cleanest and most inviting home recording application yet.
Acoustica 4 Standard Edition has clearly been styled on Apple's bundled hit Garage Band, and the resemblance is all positive in this case. The new interface is significantly more clean and user-friendly than before, and the entire editing suite has been redesigned to more closely resemble an ultra-intuitive recording studio. Users can easily edit and mix different channels at once, and create deep recordings in minutes.
A range of VSTi plug-ins are included. The standard flanger, chorus, and distortion effects are all present, along with a selection of specialist effects and unique plug-ins. Of course, users can download, purchase, and install third-party plug-ins without worrying about compatibility - Acoustica 4 Standard Edition supports external plug-ins and editing tools.
Full MIDI support is included, allowing users to connect their MIDI recording devices and add sample information digitally. The "Acoustica Instruments" MIDI sound pack is crisp and impressive, although serious digital musicians are best off investing in their own external MIDI pack. A range of MIDI devices can be configured as playback tools, with support for Microsoft's own MIDI packs and external MIDI devices.
A huge archive of sound samples and loops is included with Acoustica 4 Standard Edition. Each can be arranged to create completely digital music files, or even coupled with MIDI and standard digital recordings to add depth and replace user-recorded tracks. One slight irritation present in previous editions of Acoustica is still around - samples often loop slightly too long, causing a slight delay when replayed.
Despite some relatively minor issues, Acoustica 4 Standard Edition is a very comprehensive recording and digital music platform. With a significantly improved user interface, a range of built-in and third-party VSTi effects, and full MIDI capabilities, Acoustica 4 Standard Edition could be the ultimate introduction to digital music.

New user interface is significantly more intuitive and visually impressive than previous editions.
Built-in VSTi effects are surprisingly crisp and usable. New effects can easily be installed and added.
MIDI recording devices can be used for input, and combined with a range of built-in "Acoustica Instruments" sound packs.
