Product Description
Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Server for Linux provides GUI-guided disk-based backup and disaster recovery of individual Linux servers and is designed to meet the needs of small businesses, where remote and centralized management are not required.
Make disaster recovery a reality
Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 creates disk image backup that contains full operating system, applications and data, and combined with intuitive interface, this makes backup recovery of the entire system as simple as a few clicks, eliminating possible mistakes and freeing administrator for other work.

We made it easy: you don’t need to be a technology expert to use our products. Simplified workflows guide you through backup and recovery.

Backup
Image Backup
The disk-level backup is based on saving and image of either the disk or volume as a whole, along with operating systems, applications and data.
File Backup
The file-level data protection is based on backing up the user's selection of files and folders. You can recover all files and folders that were backed up or select which of them to recover.
Full or Fast Incremental or Differential Backups
Save storage requirements, backup time and traffic by employing differential and incremental backups that store only data that changed.
Broad Storage SupportAcronis Backup & Recovery 11 supports a wide array of storage devices and location including local disk, Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Network (SAN), FTP server, optical devices and tapes, as well as the unique Acronis® Secure Zone.
Store backups in up to five destinations
Store backups in multiple different locations — for example backup to a local disk and a copy to a network share.
Acronis® Secure Zone
A special protected partition on a hard disk to store backups in.
Advanced backup scheduling
Specify timeframes, frequency and intervals for each type of data, and each type of machine. Fine tune parameters to support varying backup priorities, whether for fast-changing databases or for relatively static data stores.
Backup Schemes
Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 has a set of pre-defined industry-standard schemes like Grandfather-Father-Son or Tower-of-Hanoi. Custom schemes may be configured with advanced settings.
Snapshot
Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 takes a ‘snapshot’ of the disk using Acronis’ patented disk imaging technologies, eliminating the need to take a server offline for a backup.
Sector-by-sector backup
Stores exact copies of a disk or volume, sector-by-sector, including unused space.
Excluding files during backup
Save storage space and time by excluding non-essential files and folders from backups.
Compression and encryption
Compress backups to optimize your storage space or encrypt them for additional level of security.
Pre/post commands
Define pre/post backup and data capture commands to integrate Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 with other applications or to temporarily stop some.
Automatic or manual splitting of backups
Split backups into multiple files to fit media.
Network bandwidth and disk write speed throttling
Limit impact on a disk or network by limiting the bandwidth that is allowed to be used by backup operation.
Recovery
Bare-metal restore
Restore your server from scratch in the event of a hard disk failure — restore an exact copy of your computer on a new hard drive.
Restore to dissimilar hardware
With optional Acronis® Universal Restore™, migrate or restore the whole system to dissimilar hardware or a virtual machine.
Restore files from disk backup
You can recover individual folders or files from disk image backup.
P2V, V2P and V2V Migrations
Backup physical machine – restore to virtual, backup virtual – restore to physical, or even restore virtual machines from one hypervisor to another. This flexibility opens a way to unlimited migrations across physical machines and various virtualization platforms.
Disaster Recovery Plan
Document that is automatically generated when each backup completes with detailed step-by-step instructions
Mounting backups
Disk image can be mounted as a disk in read-only or read/write mode.
Management
Automated deletion of outdated backups
Specify rules to automatically delete backups that are no longer needed.
Staging to 2nd tier storage
Automatically move backups to another location instead of deleting them. Up to five stages are supported.
Manual or scheduled validation
Enhanced archive validation confirms that your backups are complete and your server and data will be recoverable.
Alerts
A customizable alerts notifies administrator about critical issues and potential problems, such as tasks failures or low disk space.
Tasks History
For a backup plan see what was running in the past and with what result.
Import and Export of Backup Plans
Export backup plans from a file on one machine and import on another. The file is in XML format and can be customized manually. Import of backup plans can be automated by placing the file to a dedicated directory on a machine.
Consolidating incremental or differential backups
Consolidate incremental and differential backups to save space.
Command line with scripting support
Execute tasks and create backups from a command-line interface.
