Adobe Photoshop Elements
Adobe Photoshop Elements Plus deserves to be mentioned first, as most users will edit their photos with this software before compiling them into videos with Premier Plus. Perhaps the most notable features within Adobe Photoshop Elements are the unique automated editing features. One such feature is the Quick Fix feature, which lets the user apply preset photo editing configurations to multiple photos at once.
Another notable automated image editing feature is the Photomerge Exposure which brings out the slightest details by layering a single image onto itself and applying optimal lighting to the entire photo. Users can also resize images using the Recompose feature which can shrink pictures without compromising image quality.
Then there are the features that enhance project organization, such as the organizer feature, which lets users quickly find and incorporate various forms of media into their projects without having to manually search the hard drive or use the standard Windows file search function. Another feature that compliments the Organizer feature is the Auto-Analyzer feature, which automatically tags images with certain keywords based on the image content. Amongst the other interesting features included within Photoshop Elements are the People Recognition feature (recognizes human facial profiles and associates them with names), and the integrated sharing features.
Adobe Premier Elements
Adobe Premier Elements is the video editing side of this comprehensive media creation software suite. Similar to the Photoshop version of Adobe Elements, this software also includes an Organizer feature that helps users index and find media for their projects with ease. The People Recognition feature and the Auto-Analyzer feature are also included within Premier Elements as well. However, the primary focal points of Premier Elements are the Smart editing features.
The Smart Fix and Smart Trim features automatically touch up bad video sectors by removing the segments of film that are of the lowest quality. Then there is the Smart Mix feature which balances audio levels throughout the duration of the video to produce the most professional results possible. Similar to the Photoshop edition of Adobe Elements, this software also has an integrated sharing feature as well.
Adobe Photoshop Elements: What We Liked
Despite the plethora of advanced features, the software is surprisingly simple to use.
The Quick Fix feature is an excellent way for inexperienced users to automatically enhance the quality of their photographs before printing or sharing.
Offers familiar Photoshop CS4features such as Recompose- an excellent image compacting tool that does not compromise quality.
Now users can eve improve the definition of a HD photo with the Photomerge Exposure feature.
Adobe Photoshop Elements: What We Didn't Like
Although the software is relatively simple to use, there are plenty of features to become acquainted with before one can fully master the full functionality.
Adobe Premier Elements: What We Liked
Users can utilize preset automated options to automatically create streamlined movies from video clips and photographs, without the need for extensive editing.
The smart features of the software make video editing a simple task for even the most inexperienced user.
The motion tracking technology lets users apply dynamic effects to moving objects within a scene.
The software is available in English, Spanish and French and is one of the most user-friendly video editing software titles available.
Adobe Premier Elements: What We Didn't Like
Creating photo compilations with the software is not as easy as it is in other Adobe photo editing suites.
