askSam is the ideal application organize your information. askSam is a different kind of database - a free-form database designed for users rather than programmers. askSam makes it easy to turn anything into a searchable database: email messages, word processing documents, text files, spreadsheets, addresses, Web pages, and more.
askSam gives you the power of a database without the complexity. No need to program or learn a complicated query language. With askSam, you simply import or enter information, and you're ready to search. askSam users range from individuals organizing email, addresses, and research notes to corporations and government organizations managing meeting minutes, regulations, policy manuals, and corporate databases.

You can type information directly into askSam, or you can import information from a wide variety of sources including:

Easy to Design Databases Forms
Setting up structured database is a breeze with askSam. You simply use the Entry Form Wizard to set up your form. askSam Entry Forms are flexible and easy. Type in names for your fields and you're ready to go.
When you add a document simply fill out the fields. askSam fields can automatically expand making room for all your information. It doesn't matter whether you enter an extra word, sentence, paragraph, or 100 pages of text. askSam can easily handle it. This makes askSam ideal for storing notes, transcripts, and other textual information. Just type (or import) the information, and you can search for anything.
Organize Information with Folders
With the Dynamic Folder View, askSam lets you place your information in folders and sub-folders. Unlike most folder stuctures, askSam Folders are displayed dynamically based on the contents of your database. With Folders, you can quickly change the way you view and navigate your information. askSam lets you save Web pages directly from your Internet Explorer browser into a searchable database. askSam makes it simple to add Web information into your databases - just right click on a page, choose "Save Web Page to askSam" and select your database.

Turn Texts into Databases
askSam's Automatic Field Recognition enables you to turn information into an instant database. askSam can automatically identify words that provide structure in your information and use these words as fields. For example, email messages often contains words like "To:", "From:", "Date:", and "Subject:" askSam lets you automatically use these words as fields. You can search, sort, and even create reports using these words as fields.

Data can be imported and indexed from a range of different applications. Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and even PDF and HTML files can be imported as searchable content. Using a freeform page-based system, users can easily create individual pages and sub-pages surrounding websites, PDF documents, or presentations. Files can be sorted into sub folders, and easily navigated using askSam 6 Free Form Database's simple and user-friendly interface.
While clearly aimed at professional users, there's plenty of value in askSam 6 Free Form Database for home and small business users. With a wide range of pre-built templates included, users could easily use askSam 6 Free Form Database as an address management platform, a client and customer management database, or even an entire business management and record keeping platform.
One of askSam 6 Free Form Database's most impressive features is the ability to import and annotate entire webpages. While support is relatively limited - currently, the only supported browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer - importing webpages is remarkably fast and simple, and users can easily add searchable content or on-page notes once websites have been indexed.
The strength of askSam 6 Free Form Database is clearly in its powerful search options. As with other database applications, users can quickly search for information by date, proximity, and further isolate with Boolean search options. Webpage importing is only available with Microsoft Internet Explorer - third-party browsers are currently unsupported.
