Audials One allows you to download music, record web radio stations and videos, convert media and remove DRM copy protection legally. A short breakdown of all the different features is needed to really understand the huge extent of abilities and scope that Audials One 4 covers. It consolidates features from Radiotracker, Tunebite, MP3videoraptor and Tagrunner into the one software.
The Radiotracker is an indispensible tool for recording streaming music from the many radio stations on the Internet.
The MusicFinder monitors many stations simultaneously and, working in conjunction with MP3videoraptor, helps you to build up a wish-list of artists and track names to record when searching for music.
The Music Search function works by simply typing in an artist or title and immediately seeing results. You can also filter the results depending on what you need and a nice new feature that has been added to the newest version of Audials One is an audio preview button that enables you to check a song before hitting the record button.
There is also an Autoload function that is built for speed, with an impressive database that gives you an efficient way of quickly building up your media library.
With Tunebite, you can legally record DRM copy protected media to produce DRM-free files.
Plus Audials One 4 has a lot of extras for added convenience: podcasts, a generator for cell phone ringtones, CD & DVD burning functions, automatically completes your music and music video collection with lyrics, album artwork and ID3 tags.
Audials One: What we liked
The extensive tool set makes Audials One 4 a great all-rounder, consolidating all the most important features from a number of different programs.
The music database contains songs by over 70k artists.
The interface in this version of Audials One is much improved and there is a tighter integration of tools. The arrangement and addition of new controls has made the software more intuitive.
Audials One: What we didn't like
Audials TV is a program that is free to download from the Audials website that allows you to watch Internet TV. The downside is that it isn't integrated into Audials One and it would have been a nice extra feature to be able to record Internet TV.
The Perfect Audio mode (from Tunebite) guarantees a perfect copy of your original files, and works when two copies of the original file are recorded at the same time and are then compared for errors. Unfortunately, Perfect Audio works very slowly and if you have many files to convert you may wish to leave this option off.
Audials One 4 Support
There is no phone support for the Audials One 4 product, however RapidSolution software do offer online support via email requests and queries, user forum and tutorial videos on their home site.
