Tunebite 7 Platinum legally copies and converts music tracks, audio books, video clips and films whether DRM copy-protected or not into the formats required by today's mobile devices. It converts protected WMA, M4A, M4B and M4P formats into unprotected MP3, WMA, WMA Pro, OGG, M4A and WAV audio files.

Since 2004, Tunebite has been mentioned and singled out for excellence in more computer trade publications than any other legal software solution that removes DRM copy protection. The new Platinum 6 version is more intuitive and easier to use than ever before.

Tunebite Platinum 7 has one of a kind quality control with "PerfectAudio," which guarantees a perfect reproduction of the original copy-protected file by creating two simultaneous recordings and then comparing them to check for errors. It also has the option of choosing to use the Tunebite virtual CD burner instead of burning to a physical CD to remove copy-protection. Plus, as with older versions of Tunebite, the ringtone maker still offers a great way to make ringtones from your digital music files and CDs; it can also strip out the audio from a video clip and record sound from an alternative source such as a microphone.

Tunebite Platinum: What We Didn't Like

The user-manual lacks detail in certain areas and should be updated for optimum help, e.g. there is no explanation for installing the virtual CD burner.

The downside to using the Perfect Audio mode is that it takes significantly more time to convert files; if you've got a lot of files then be prepared for a long wait!

The RapidSolution Software site does not have constant phone support but if you have a specific query, you can email them and request for a special case. RapidSolution Software do, however, offer online support via a variety of FAQs, user forum and email contact.

Tunebite Platinum would be perfect... if it worked more than 10% of the time.

Advantages

When it actually does what it is suppose to do, it creates perfect copies of copy-protected video and audio.

Disavantages

Tunebite will arbitrarily change to incompatible settings while performing batch operations, which results in immense amounts of time wasted where it will convert the first file of a batch without issue - then all remanding files will have serious issues; such as the audio and video not being synced - to the video not being playable at all.
