In the past, users had to rely upon integrated Windows search functions, which take a long time to complete and often return very poor search results. In fact, many times users are unable to find the file they're looking for, even if the exact file name is entered in the search bar! This is because the standard Windows search function does not index every file, and often fails to index files. When the files are not indexed, the entire hard drive must be searched and this process can be somewhat lengthy.

With Copernic Desktop Search, the entire hard drive is indexed on a daily basis, which makes highly accurate search results appear almost instantly after the users inquiry. Users can easily find photos, videos, documents, and any other kind of file within seconds. In fact, the software can even find internet favorites and emails.
