Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11Home is the latest edition of the well-established and trusted NaturallySpeaking product family.
With a wide user base of corporate users, recording artists, and dictation professionals, Dragon NaturallySpeaking boasts impressive transcription accuracy, the ability to vastly boost text input speed, and features for hands-free internet browsing and PC usage. The Home edition is more consumer-focused than other NaturallySpeaking packages, designed to allow home users the same functions and abilities as demanding corporate executives.
While a range of text-to-speech applications are available, Dragon NaturallySpeaking has always been considered the market leader and application to choose. Offering improved accuracy and a streamlined and simplified user-interface Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11 Home is an even more user-friendly edition than was previously available. Able to record and transcribe text three times faster than the standard human input speed, Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11 boasts a 99% accuracy rate.
This 50% improvement in accuracy from Dragon NaturallySpeaking 2004 makes NaturallySpeaking 11 the perfect tool for home and small business users that need highly accurate speech transcription. Regional accents are accounted for with accent-based profiles, and individual settings can easily be set up and configured to take personal speech and pronunciation differences into account.
Windows Vista and 7 users will enjoy full support for web browsing, including special commands for YouTube and most search engines. Hands-free browsing and PC operation is simple, if somewhat time consuming to configure, however most users will experience very smooth hands-free operation after setting up their own profile.
Of course, Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11 Home isn't completely free of downsides. Currently unavailable for Mac users, Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Standard is only available for Windows XP, Vista, and 7, although the XP option excludes internet browsing. While the Standard edition is competitively priced, only one user license is included, limiting value for small businesses and enterprise operations.
Speech transcription is very accurate, with a 99% accuracy rate - a 50% improvement over just five years ago.
Text can be input at up to three times the standard human typing speed, saving time and maximizing productivity for business users.
Windows Vista and 7 users can also use Dragon NaturallySpeaking as a hands-free web browsing tool.
Dragon NaturallySpeaking Standard: What We Didn't Like
Only one license is included, limiting use and increasing overall costs for small business users.
