One Stop Tax Software
TaxCut comes through again with a complete one stop application for me to do my taxes. Everything I need to do my fed and state taxes with no add on charges. I like everything up front and included. This will be my 6th year using TaxCut instead of wading through all the forms myself, Download, install and I'm off doing my taxes.

TaxCut Premium
A cut above the rest! TaxCut is a product from the tax consulting company H&R Block. The products needs to be installed on your computer and supports Windows XP, 2000 and 98 and Mac as well. The CDs come with the tax software, DeductionPro for handling deductions and WillPower for managing wills & legal documents. These need to be installed separately. Overall the software works very smooth and installation is easy. There can be debate on the user friendliness but I personally think it is very good. It worked well for me and I could do the taxes quickly and more importantly, accurately. I am told that this version is significantly better than the previous versions as lot of the interview questions have been rewritten with less text. A significant change introduced is that there is now only the Premium version. Earlier there used to be Deluxe and Standard editions. In a way this is good as it far less confusing. The product costs about $20 for Federal, $30 for both Federal and State, $60 for Federal, State and e-file. Overall the product is an excellent one and deserves a rating of 5 out of 5.
