With this incredibly useful software, users can control the amount of ink used by their inkjet printers, thereby extending the lifespan of their ink cartridges. Although the printer can still produce high quality images at superb resolution, the ink output is controlled by optimizing data sent to the printer from the attached computer. This software is compatible with all major printer brands such as EPSON, Canon, HP, Lexmark and others.
InkSaver 2.0 is unique in that it is one of few softwares that is designed to maximize the efficiency of a particular hardware device, rather than simply improve it's performance. Without the software the printer is left to deal with ink output on it's own, causing unnecessary excessive ink usage in some instances.
With InkSaver 2.0, the software mediates the information sent from the main device (computer) to the printer, maximizing quality while minimizing the printer's workload. The software does not affect the ability of your printer, or the time required to print items. The InkSaver installation process is also extremely simple and can be done within a matter of minutes.
Once the software is setup adjustments can be made to the amount of ink used by configuring the integrated ink savings slider. The amount of ink reduction preferred can be adjusted from 0% ink reduction to 75% ink reduction. While the quality of the finished product will be relatively unchanged, the higher the ink reduction setting, the less vivid the printed object will be.
When printing text it may be optimal to conserve as much ink as possible by setting the ink reduction slider at the maximum 75%. However, for more intensive printing purposes such as photographs or artwork, the user may want to leave the ink reduction slider at 0%. To avoid unnecessary guesswork the software lets users print a single sample page at the desired setting, so the finished product can be viewed without committing to print a set of pages.
The software is simple to use and only needs to be setup once to work indefinitely. Once the settings are configured users can print their items as usual and the applied ink reduction settings will continue to be in effect until they are changed.
