digital photo software

What you need to know

Using your digital camera to take digital photos is only half the game. Once safely uploaded to your computer, the real fun begins when you enhance those images using image, or photo, editing software.

You can use these programs to change the color and exposure in a photo, for instance. This can be handy to correct problems such as under-exposure, over-exposure, and unwanted color casts. Many image editors let you go far beyond that, though, with tools that eliminate the red-eye effect caused by camera flash, recompose and crop photos, and even sharpen or blur parts of your image. Your imagination is your only limit.
