Nero 9 Reloaded includes a number of new multimedia features that benefit users across a range of supported Windows Operating Systems. Consumers will also appreciate new file playback capabilities within Nero StartSmart for music, videos and photos, and ability to create playlists. Furthermore, Nero StartSmart now integrates Gracenote music recognition service providing song and artist information for audio files.

Capture video from AVCHD camcorders and easily create stunning movies with 3D animated menu templates for a professional presentation. New tape-scan feature allows quick and easy previews and scene selections from digital (DV) or high-definition videos (HDV) for the seamless import of video into creative projects, saving time and hard drive space. Easily burn high definition projects with high definition menu templates to AVCHD Disc using standard recordable DVD media - save time and ensure quality with Nero's SmartEncoding for AVCHD. In addition, Nero now offers Blu-ray Disc Authoring Plug-in online enabling high-definition menu authoring and burning of HD video to Blu-ray Disc, ensuring playback on Playstation 3 and other Blu-ray Disc players.

Enhanced and newly designed multimedia player
Nero 9's multimedia player, Nero ShowTime, now incorporates great usability with a new look and playback design as well as convenient docking and stand-by modes of both the browser window and playlists. New Video Editing Options
Nero 9 provides highly enhanced yet easy to use video editing tools to allow for greater personalization of home videos and slideshows. The new Ad Spotter detects and removes commercials from a movie and joins the movie content pieces seamlessly together. The new Music Grabber feature identifies music clips in a movie or music video and automatically extracts the audio, to save as MP3 and add to playlist. The new Movie Wizard allows creativity with an easy-to-use library of templates including themes for special occasions like birthdays, holidays and weddings, plus soundtracks and special effects.

Enhanced Live TV experience
Providing consumers with a great new TV experience for their PC, Nero Live is a new addition to Nero 9 for the viewing of high-quality live TV on the PC. As a stand-alone application or to enhance Windows Media Center, Nero Live makes it easy to watch live TV/HDTV, record TV shows, watch two channels at once with Picture-in-Picture capabilities, time shift for up to 60-minutes and listen to DVB radio.

Autobackup and Data Protection
Nero listened to consumers and integrated even more convenient and easy tools to protect valuable memories, confidential data and safeguard against system crashes, natural disasters or even human error. The new Autobackup feature in Nero 9 makes it easy for consumers to backup digital entertainment content from their PCs including files, folders, drives, and even the entire system via a simple wizard interface that leads consumers through a scheduling process for backing up and saving content - offline or online. Also offered with Nero 9 is Nero BackItUp 4 which allows consumers to protect against a system crash or accidental loss of important data by providing easy disaster recovery and backup password protection for extra security. With Nero RescueAgent technology integrated into Nero 9, safely and securely recover data from damaged or scratched discs, hard drives, USB and flash sticks, and other memory devices.

Nero 8 Ultra Edition

An improvement for Nero, but not the best out there. I've always had trouble using Nero, from incompatibilities with my hardware, to trying to figure out it's often convoluted and "too technical" interface. I hated being bombarded with all sorts of concepts I didn't understand, and being asked to make decisions about things that would turn dozens of my CDs into Frisbees because I couldn't find a reasonable, simple explanation to what I was making decisions about.

Nero 8's Ultra Edition is much improved over past versions of Nero, and I find that it's now a definite contender in CD burning software. It's fairly simple to use, and has all the features you'd expect. I wouldn't expressly recommend it over most other pieces of software, however, it will get the job done.

Nero 8 Ultra Edition

Does your digital life need revitalizing? I have found the answer! Nero 8 Ultra Edition has given me the ultimate solution to my digital recording requirements. Facilities built into the software I was using included few of the features I now have with Nero 8 Ultra Edition. For example, I can now handle complex multimedia projects and use XBox 360 or Playstation to stream my video and audio. I can also safeguard my data securely using the back up features of Nero 8 Ultra Edition. Life is easier these days and considerably more fun.

Nero 8 Ultra Edition has proved to be an excellent tool and I would rate it favorably, five out of five.

Nero 8 Ultra Edition
I have been using Nero ever since I bought my old computer, and a Nero 6 CD was included in the package. I recently upgraded my burning software to Nero 8, and a week later, went back to Nero 6. I do not know if it is because of my processor or my RAM, but Nero 8 consistently slowed down my computer and even caused it to crash a few times; a problem I never had with Nero 6. While burning a DVD/CD with Nero 8, I could not use my computer to do anything else, even though I had selected the option to put burning/ripping low on the list of CPU priorities. Again, did not have this problem with Nero 6. I am sure that Nero 8 has more features and options than Nero 6 does, and perhaps they are useful for someone who uses it to do more complicated things than simple burning/ripping, which is all I use it for. I decided that the new features and add-ons were not worth me messing up my computer, and uninstalled it so that I could put Nero 6 back onto my system. The one good thing about Nero 8 was that the installation of the software and the help/tutorial section was better than in the previous versions.

Nero 8 Ultra Edition

I'll never burn a disc again without Nero. I struggled through using the preloaded software on my computer for almost a year, but it created a large number of unreadable discs and was missing key features such as burning from an image file. I finally saw the light and purchased Nero 8. I love it! Nero makes burning a breeze with a simple, easy-to-follow interface that guides you through each step of the process.

The best part is that I have never created an unreadable disc since I started using Nero. If you've ever been frustrated by the process of burning a CD or DVD and thought there had to be a better way, you were right. And Nero is it! 5 out of 5 stars

Nero 8 Ultra Edition
Nero remains the best in the game of CD/DVD burning software with Nero 8 Ultra Edition. The new GUI is ultra-user friendly and very attractive. I found the new DVD creating feature very useful and impressive. It allows you to burn your home videos onto a DVD and add extra features like a professional looking menu and eye-catching slideshows with your photos. Once again Nero doesn't fail to impress. 5 out of 5 stars.

Nero 8 Ultra Edition
Nero 8: finally, a digital media program worth the wait. The controls are easy to use (my ten year old figured it out before I did, which I suppose isn't saying much) because everything is categorized and you simply click one time on each option. It works really well with Windows Vista, too - I haven't encountered any bugs as of yet. It's not a huge resource hog, either - I've had multiple windows open and haven't had any problems. I think the coolest feature of Nero 8 is that it lets you export to Blu-ray, an option which most other software doesn't have yet. Nero beats using whatever your computer came equipped with - I highly recommend it, even for amateurs like myself.

Nero 8 Ultra Edition

Nero has always been my number one burning software of choice. Nero 8 continues to be on the front lines with ease of use and almost perfect results with every use. The only complaint that I have lately about the Nero products is how "easy" they seem to be making some of the interfaces. I prefer the classic look and feel to Nero that still exists, however you can see that it is slowly becoming very similar in look to Nero SmartStart. The addition of SmartStart awhile back really bothered me, however I have learned to live with it simply because the burning capabilities continue to impress me. The addition of LightScribe support in version 8 is very nice as well.

All in all Nero is still the leader is burning utilities, at least for people who are experienced in burning CD's and DVD's. I give it a solid 5 stars!

Nero 8 Ultra Edition
"This is an affordable and easy to use option for burning and backing up my data!" Four out of Five stars able to install and use on my computer within minutes! Nero 8 Ultra Edition is easy to use, and helped me to get my computer backed up in a manner that I understood and felt in control of. Using Nero 8 Ultra Edition is easy, and after the initial set-up, helped me get started burning CD's, DVD's, and backing up all of my important data and photos. This made me feel much more secure about using my computer again. With so many chances to lose data or have my computer hacked, it feels great having a reliable back-up option available from a name I trust.
