If yu have young kids online you HAVE to have this product. IT IS SIMPLY THE BEST. We no longer have to look over our daughter's shoulder...well, not so often anyway. Highly Recommended!

Like Super Nanny, just not Televised
We’ve been trying to find an internet security program that works for years, and finally, we have. We had tried net Nanny before and found the protection mediocre and the side-effects crippling. But the new version released has fixed a lot of problems. Protection is great, our computer has noticeably less lag, although still a little bit, and the best part is is that now we don’t have to worry when our kids want to use the computer. Overall Net Nanny is a great buy! Highly Recommended!

A Parent's Dream Let's be honest. We can't protect our kids as much as we hoped we could. And half the time, the outside world isn't the biggest threat...it's the computer! Net Nanny is the extra eye that we all need when there are kids in the house, and the computer is subjected to frequent use by kids of all ages. Thank you, Net Nanny! 4.5 stars!

Smart adult content filter. Mediocre otherwise. Three out of five stars. Average for this type of software. NetNanny is highly effective at blocking access to pornographic content on the web, while allowing free access to medically and educationally relevant material. It has a harder time with other material, related to violent and illegal activities. I tried Googling "pornography" with NetNanny running. It returned only links to articles on definitions and legal arguments surrounding the subject. NetNanny was smart enough to let me search for "stripper" on a tool store's web site. Result: wire stripping tools. And I could freely access The Vagina Monologues and various human sexuality research on the web. But I was able to easily find instructions on making explosives and guns at home, even with the Violence and Illegal categories blocked. NetNanny blocked my search for "anarchist's cookbook," but I slipped a deliberately obscure search by it: "from bleach" chlorate. That query returned several copies of the Anarchist's Cookbook article "Making Plastic Explosives from Bleach." NetNanny is poor at filtering non-web content. It doesn't block all of the popular Torrent download sites and it has no content control for BitTorrent downloads. The "Reports" feature generates colorful graphs of web usage. But it nearly overheated my laptop, pegging my 2.4GHz CPU at 95% capacity.

This is a must have product! This program helps protect your family from online predators with one very nice little program. One of the best features of this program is its ability named Safe Search which integrates with the most popular search engines such as Google, so that it creates as safer searching environment for your children. Having children myself I value this products ability to keep my children safe from potential online predators. This program also includes the ability to remotely monitor your child's activity even when you are not around. This program lets you log and monitor all instant messenger conversions as well as blocking unwanted webpage's and giving you the ability to make sure your children are safely searching the web. it's the best program like it out there today!

It makes me feel safer letting my children on the computer knowing that I have Net Nanny installed. The fact that I can set it up for multiple users is great because I have more than one child on the internet.

I love that I can set time limits, and that is sends me an email of the sites my children are viewing. I give this software a 4 out of 5

Nanny 911 to the rescue. I rank this software 5 out of 5. If you have a computer and kids under the same roof i think the software Nanny Parental Control is a must have it should be mandatory. What i found out to be one of the best features is not only can you block what your child does on line, but you can see where they were trying to go or trying to see. Also kids are sometimes to smart for their own good. If they try to disable or turn off the nanny software they will have to furnish a few passwords. They are defenseless against this excellent software. Sense i have three kids and one computer i am constantly refereeing the computer. Whose turn is it? What are you doing on there? Who is next?

With this software you can set up to 12 different accounts. You can monitor everywhere they go and how long they have been on line. If i want a specific web site blocked like my space i block it. If i want certain words blocked like drugs, or sex i block them. I can also block certain phrases. Once i purchased the software any updates that are available in the future are mine for free. In closing i will say that thanks to Nanny 5,6 software being on my team when it comes to the fight against inappropriate content on the Internet i win every time with nanny software. I can let my guard down and have peace knowing exactly what my kids are doing on the world wide web.

I have tried many different applications for my 8 and 12 year old and finally Ifound one that works well with Windows Vista and allows me to remotely manage which Web sites my kids have access to. The only thing I would like to see is a Mac version of Net Nanny for my laptop, when we are traveling the kids like to use it. Good stuff!
