No need for additional software!
I like the fact that the user does not need additional software for other security problems. For example, I did not have to install another program to detect spyware and other security risks. It was easy to install and is extremely easy o operate. In fact, the user just has to set it up to do all the tasks and it will run in the background. The program lets me know when I need to back-up my computer. I have never backed-up my work this way before and I feel more secure with doing it this way.

Can't rate it highly enough!
I can't rate Norton 360 highly enough. It is far more than just an anti-virus program. As well as protecting my computer from all the usual Internet threats such as virus', worms and Trojans it also scans your emails for nasties. What I loved about the program is how it backed up all my important files to an online service! You can however back up to CD, DVD or a flash drive if you prefer. I couldn't ask more of a program.

Exceeded my expectations
An interesting update to the Symantec product line. Norton 360 far exceeded my expectations for this new brand. As an avid computer enthusiast Symantec products were far from welcomed on any of the day to day computers I used. Norton Anti virus no matter how effective completely drags even the finest computer hardware to the sub par performance level, plundering system resources, rooting itself deep within the foundation, and best of all you paid for this privilege. However, with Norton 360 the Symantec security is brought without the excess baggage. In fact you almost wonder if it is even working. The only true draw back is the fumble add on pack of parental control and email spam removal. 4 out of 5 stars.

Great Deal For A Good Product
Norton 360 provides comprehensive security protection for up to three different computers. That protection includes website authentication (to ensure the websites I visit are legit) and a disk cleanup/defragmentation utlitity that runs much more efficiently than what comes with Windows XP Home Edition on my machine. Norton 360 is also easy to set up and manage. The only problem I had with the software occurred when I tried to run LiveUpdate. Even that was readily fixed with a patch. For people like me who have more than one computer, Norton 360 is a must-have. 4 stars (out of 5)

Excellent all around software
Symantec's circle remains unbroken with their excellent all around software Norton 360. Yes, pun intended. I will admit that I was skeptical at first. It has been my experience in the past that software designed to take care of everything, usually means large cumbersome programs that hog memory resources, bog down the CPU, and never fully live up to the can do everything claims. I had the opportunity to install and run the 360 software on a couple of different machines and I couldn't wait to see what it could do. As with the Norton Internet Security 2008 the first major bonus before you even install the software is that it can be installed on up to three machines. Dividing the total cost of the program by three is a substantial savings compared to purchasing three copies of a similar software to install on your computers. The installation was next to effortless, with an improved wizard that made the install a breeze. The first thing that I noticed after installing the product is that it used less memory resources to operate than the previous security suite that did not cover as many options. Someone over at Symantec has earned a big bonus this year, as their products are miles ahead of what they have ever been! The PC security, back up and restore, and tune up utilities make Norton 360 an all in one software that runs quietly in the background. Safeguarding your files and data. Providing security from virus's, spyware and Internet threats, and keeping your computer's software optimized for maximum performance and reliability. There is no question, I give Norton 360 all five stars.

Better than Norton Internet Security
As someone who has used Norton Internet Suite for the past six years, I was looking for something that didn't take so much background memory during start-up and operation. Symantec's new entry to the internet security race, Norton 360, has passed that test. This program starts up quickly at log on and continues to run quietly in the background. It has all the features that have made Norton one of the most trusted names in internet security, but improved. I highly recommend this next generation of security from Norton.

Best yet from Norton

Norton the 360 is the best yet from the folks at Norton. In the past I have not been a big fan of Norton's antivirus utilities, but 360 changes that with its fantastically easy to use interface and its low reliance on system resources. One thing I hated about Norton 2008 is that it slowed my computer down significantly when I was browsing the net or playing games. I have no such problems with Norton 360.

Although it is not 5/5 material, its definitely a 4/5. Not only does the program include all the ordinary fundamental features one would expect in a security application (spyware protection, email protection, threat elimination, download scans, network activity scans, website authentication, and firewall protection) it also has a nice set of augmentations. It automatically backs-up and restores data (so you don't lose you files when your hard drive gets crashes), tunes up PC performance (so you can play your games and movies at optimal performance), and removes system files which slow down your computer.

Norton 360

Norton 360 is a comprehensive security suite, defending against many online security threats. It safeguards identity, automatic backup and restore, PC tune-up, and diagnoses common problems that can slow down your computer. Norton 360 was easy to install, and ran in the background without any intrusions. As always, Norton's interface is appealing and user friendly.

Most of the features like PC tune-up and PC backups are things that can be done without the software, using what Windows already comes with. Windows has Disk Defragmenter, Disk Cleanup, and Backup which takes care of old unnecessary files, including Internet tracks and temporary Internet files. Unfortunately, when I loaded my AVG anti-spyware, it caught several security threats, when Norton 360 did not. Also, the online security feature is elementary. The letter "s", in "HTTP:" in your Internet browser address, stands for secure. Norton only looks at the letter "s" to tell if it's secure, but we can do that without the software. Also, there is not a secure place to store passwords or credit card information.

Overall, Norton 360 is a great tool to have, but there is better software on the market, that cost less, and performs better.

NORTON STINKS
This is the 3rd Norton program to crash our computers. At first, I didn't know that is what was causing the crashes - but each and every time I got a norton error message prior to the crash. This last time, they were able to retrieve my data and the computer techs said without a shadow of a doubt, it was the Norton program that was the cause. This program has cost me a lot of money. Symantec did refund my money on 360 - but I want people to be educated before they too experience such a great loss.
