Norton AntiVirus - Things We Like

The latest Norton AntiVirus download will keep your PC and your network secure, eliminating malware and viruses in real time and letting you browse with the confidence that infection will not hamper your computing experience.

The interface of the software is the area which has undergone the most work in the recent edition and it all works towards giving you easy to use menus and relevant information every time you use it. The installation and background operation of the software is slick and smoother than its predecessors as well, adding extra incentive for investment in this security suite.

Norton AntiVirus - Things We Didn't Like

Being the biggest name in the industry has positive and negative aspects, with increased scrutiny of your product in Norton AntiVirus review situations being perhaps the worst part of leading the market. While its general testing scores are some of the best around, in specific situations its ability to remove malware is not quite at the top of the pile. The notifications are also an issue for less advanced users as they can deliver a little too much information and be confusing rather than helpful.

Norton: Most popular and one of the top rated

Advantages

The Norton name! Gets rid of viruses without software updates. Sane interface that most users are familiar with.

Disavantages

During scanning, computer performance can suffer. Scans can last a long time, grab a coffee.

Norton Antivirus would be the best out of 4 that I have tried int he last 2 yrs

Advantages

Seems to pick up the most virus threats out of a few that I have tried. Does its work in the background usually tho it makes the occasional stupid noise!

Disavantages

It's a bit annoying when it comes time to renew, your whole computer seems to have to stop to address their big fat "renew" button.
