An Omnipotent Software!

Rating 5/5 OmniPage Standard 16 is a fantastic piece of software to convert documents both hard and soft, into digital documents. The good thing about these converted documents is that they remain editable in the easily available PC applications on your laptop/desktop. Simply said, you can edit your scanned document. Now isn't that cool. I find it too. Besides, I also found it to be very simple and easy to use. It is very useful for students for converting pages and pages of text into soft copy format or convert them into audio files which can be played on iPods! It works on Windows 2000/XP or Vista.

It is powerful enough to improve upon scanned documents or digital camera pictures. Infact the possibilities are limitless on what you can do with this piece of great software. Nuance Communications have a great product in hand and if marketed and priced properly has the potential to be a jackpot winner!

This one you are going to have to see to believe. For years I have wondered why someone hadn't written a program that would allow you to edit a scanned document. Omnipage Standard 16 does exactly that. I don't have to retype and entire page to just to change a few words. This is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I give it a 4.8 out of 5 stars

For Once, The Claims Are Accurate I'd used previous versions of OmniPage with a fair amount of satisfaction and success. I've recently upgraded to OmniPage Standard 16, and it's worked wonderfully for me - I'm very impressed by the improvements to accuracy, which is always the bane of any OCR software user. Although perhaps a little at the pricey end for the home user, it's definitely worth the investment in terms of speed, accuracy, and ease of use.

Version 16 already? Every version offers improvements and this one seems to be the best yet. The program is simplicity itself and as any user of any version will tell you, the program gives you the vital time saving option of editing a paper document. I remember many years ago having to scan documents and editing them with graphic software to make changes! Scanning documents is easy, editing documents is easy, and the number of file formats for importing and exporting is staggering. Simply put this is a vital piece of software for anybody who works with large amounts of documents. You are not limited to editing your documents within the program either, simply export them to word documents or text, play around with them, then import them back. The options are almost limitless.

For the price I was slightly cautious, but the software pays for itself very quickly with the amount of time you save. The software itself is well laid out, all functions are clear and it does not require any specialist knowledge to complete even the most advanced tasks. With excellent help files if you do get stuck and a web site full of support and tips. An excellent package. Highly recommended.
