One of the Best Anti-Spyware Programs When I had a major adware issue a few months ago, I tried Ad-Aware, SpyBot, and my antivirus program, and none of them were able to get rid of it. Spyware Doctor eliminated the threat on the first try. Spyware Doctor has a specific setting to guard against each type of spyware (keylogger programs, tracking cookies, etc.), so you can keep your computer guarded against any and all types of malware. I generally keep everything on the high setting and haven't had any problems since downloading it. But, when I keep it running, my computer runs noticeably slower. 4 out of 5 stars

What's not to love about Spyware Doctor? Spyware Doctor 5.0 is unbelievably easy to install and it starts working right away. After the initial scan, any files that are even slightly questionable are tagged and rated, awaiting my command (delete, ignore, etc). After the initial scan, it tags files as you view them/access them in real time. Overall, Spyware Doctor 5.0 is convenient and super user-friendly. My favorite part is that it uses plain English, so anyone can figure it out, regardless of their level of computer experience or literacy. I give it 5 stars out of a possible 5!

I have three teen age boys that are on the Internet every chance they get. I was having many problems with a slow running, pop up infested computer. I had tried many different spyware detectors and stumbled upon Spyware Doctor 5.0, and let me tell you, it has helped my computer tremendously. Using Spyware Doctor 5.0 has been a blessing in disguise. Easy to install, easy to use. Even if your not a pro in the computer language, you will understand how to use Spyware Doctor 5.0 with out fear.

Simple and easy to use Spyware Detection and Removal Software Spyware Doctor Version 5 is a simple enough tool to use. It detects spyware, adware and common rootkits. This detection and removal tool does perform as it is advertised. However, I do believe that it could be better if there were some more features available. A scaled back version of this software is available for free through the "Google Pack" software suite. While it does do a good job I have a difficult time justifying its $29.95 per year price tag. I give Spyware Doctor 5.0, a 3.5 out of 5 stars rating.

This was not as good as I expected it to be. I thought that it would take care of everything. That is what it promised. It does not catch all the spyware. The free download does not do much at all. You have to buy the program for $29.95, and then it does not perform to the extent it promises. It does some things well, but overall, not worth the money in my opinion.

Ease of Use Star Rating: 4 Through many years of computer usage, I've found that Spyware Doctor 5.0 out-performs similar utilities. The program itself installs quickly and automatically downloads the latest updates. Once installed, all the necessary navigation buttons for performing a scan are well laid out, making the program user-friendly for computer novices and experts. Spyware Doctor effectively removed all of the spyware on my computer in a little over 20 minutes. The program also provides the option of rolling back any changes it makes, as well as providing two different scanning options, "Intelli-scan" (quick), and the complete scan. While it runs slower than other spyware programs I've tried, it's definitely worth the time.

This is one of the best, if not the best, anti-spyware products that I have ever used. I recently used several other products trying to clean up a friend's computer, but to no avail. After a search of the Internet for help and as a last ditch effort before reloading the entire operating system, I installed and tried Spyware Doctor 5.0. It worked! It found almost 3000 additional instances of spyware that still existed on the machine and Spyware Doctor 5.0 was able to clean these up with no problems. In the end, I did not have to reload the whole operating system, saving me several hours of additional work. Spyware Doctor 5.0 was so easy to install and use, even my novice friend could have done it. In addition, there were no noticeable slowdowns from the software running the in background and a quick view of the Windows Task Manager showed that it was only using a small amount of the available RAM memory. He and I agreed that it was worth the money he spent on it. I even purchased a copy for my computer. It is refreshing to find an anti-spyware product that works. On a scale from 1 to 10, I definitely give Spyware Doctor 5.0 a 10 and I will be recommending it again.

Is There a Doctor in the House?

With quick and easy automatic protection, Spyware Doctor 5.0 is a must have on my team of programs designed to protect my home computer from threats. Spyware Doctor detects and blocks spyware without leaving me annoyed at endless pop ups warning me of harmless threats. The automatic update feature provides a sense of hassle free security and its easy interface makes the program comprehensible and user friendly.

Spyware Doctor 5.0 scanned my PC at breakneck speed and returned quite impressive results. It has all the usual spyware detector tools plus some extras. As well as detecting Trojans and malicious hijackers it also detects keyloggers and adbots. It has the familiar PC Tools interface, instantly making it eay to use, even for the computer novices. With OnGuard protection and real time updates my PC was fully secure. On the down side though I did find the on guard protection took some time for me to tune for my own needs. So for that I wouldn't recommend it to the easily irritated amongst us!

Overall it deserves a 4 star rating.
