PCDJ DEX is a DJ Software application that was designed with both Mobile's and Club Jocks in mind. Exclusively for audio mixing, its advanced user interface embraces new technology with an old school feel. Use any midi controller on the market and you have an excellent hands-on mixing program that rivals features on today's top CD players.
PCDJ DEX is a computer mixing program for both beginner and professional DJ's. DEX has a powerful Recordcase that allows you to Import, Mix, and Search all of your mp3, ogg, wma, flac, wav files, unprotected iTunes Library easily. DEX supports multiple m3U waitlist, play-list, or crates of mix and match tracks. PCDJ DEX is all you need to get started and become a DJ! We understand that one interface is not for everyone. So DEX includes many Skins that give you a different Look, Feel, and Feature set depending on your style of mixing. For our old school PCDJ users, you'll love the included basic Red 5.2 Skin! You can even import your old Red 5.2 Recordcase! For our VRM user's, we now included a RED VRM Skin with all the features you have grown to love and expect from RED VRM plus some features of FX VRM. PCDJ DEX is optimized for use with Denon DJ's DN-S1200, DN-HD2500, DN-HC4500, DN-HS5500, USB MIDI controllers. With Denon DJ's legendary hardware and PCDJ's world renowned software, you have the perfect mix….every time.
Each deck has a pitch slider with a selectable range from +-8% up to +-100% You can pre-listen to the song using headphones through the rear-out of your 3d-soundcard, with a second sound card, by splitting left and right channels or by using ASIO drivers.
PCDJ DEX has a very advanced BPM detection that will help you synchronize your tracks. It's very easy to set a cue-point and start your song exactly wher you want. Beat-matching two tracks is also made easier by using the virtual record to speed a song up or down.

PCDJ DEX is designed with both the professional and novice user in mind. The software includes a powerhouse Recordcase that lets the user Import, Edit, Mix and Index a variety of audio files with ease. Once the files are indexed they can be searched of based on a file name that is assigned by the user. User can even use this imported audio and their own custom mixes to create playlists within the software.
PCDJ DEX supports a plethora of audio file formats including MP3, OGG, WMA, FLAC, WAV, and even iTunes Library files. Users can also create mix and match playlists and m3u waitlists. PCDJ DEX is literally the only piece of software needed to become a professional DJ without expensive equipment
To add to the fully customizable nature of PCDJ DEX the developers have introduced skins that completely change the look and feel of the user interface. Every aspect of the DJ Deck can be modified for your comfort and control. Users that are familiar with a particular DJ set can recreate the configuration of that deck within the software. For example, old school users may be interested in the more basic skins included in PCDJ DEX.
Users of VRM mixing software will be excited to learn that there is a VRM skin that emulates the VRM software design within PCDJ DEX. The VRM skin actually incorporates the look of the original VRM along with some of the added functionality of FM VRM. For more advanced new school user, there are skins like the Dunks Dark Side skin which supports 4 players, effects and various mixing features.
PCDJ DEX performs optimally when used with Denon DJ midi hardware, and together the two create the perfect combination for a professional DJ. Every feature that a DJ would expect to have can be found within the PCDJ DEX software, including but definitely not limited to pitch sliders, audio splitting, channel mixers, amplifiers, FX, echo, reverb and other features capable of transforming a bland mix into a master mix.

A fully customizable interface makes the software suitable for Djs that demand a personalized work environment.
Provides all fo the features needed by a professional DJ, without the need for overly expensive equipment.
Is compatible with nearly every major audio file format.
PCDJ DEX: What We Didn't Like
Although the software is designed for novice users, it may be difficult for some users to become acquainted with all of the various modules in the main interface.
