Powerspeak Spanish Middle School Year 2 Grades 6-8

A multi-media, game-based approach makes this introductory Spanish course different from traditional approaches to language learning. We suggest middle school students begin with Middle School Spanish 1, unless they have already taken a first-year middle school course at school or at home, in which case they should begin with Middle School Spanish 2. If a student has taken our Elementary Spanish courses or equivalent, they should begin with Middle School Spanish 1.

What You Will Learn

Phrases
Greetings, introductions, relationships, cause and effect, how to express likes and dislikes and how to ask questions.

Vocabulary
Adjectives, animals, body parts, family words, colors, food, numbers 1-900 and household vocabulary.

Grammar
Original sentence construction, verb infinitives and base forms, irregular verbs, Latin derived cognates, concrete objects and associated verbs, adjective agreement and demonstrative pronouns.

Culture
Students will gain an understanding of Spanish speaking cultures including economy, traditions, history and political structure.
