Roxio Toast 11 Titanium Pro has clearly been designed from the ground up for Mac users, and the user-friendly design shows it. Designed similarly to Apple's own iLife and built-in OS X applications, Roxio Toast 11 Titanium Pro has a sleek interface and a range of intuitive features. Built up of seven individual applications, Roxio Toast 11 Titanium Pro includes functionality for everything from DVD authoring to digital video editing.
The most popular feature of Roxio Toast, as always, is the digital media authoring toolkit. Users can import their digital movies from other Mac OS X applications, and couple them with a customized and unique soundtrack. Roxio Toast 11 Titanium Pro includes full support for Blu-ray discs, and high-end Macs with Blu-ray authoring hardware can burn Blu-ray discs, build on-disc menus, or even create Blu-ray data discs.
Of course, for many Mac users Roxio Toast 11 Titanium Pro is somewhat unnecessary. Mac OS X includes a range of features for burning discs, authoring movies, and even editing digital video as standard. However, while iMovie and Apple's built-in DVD authoring tools are sufficient for minor projects, serious video editors will no-doubt want the in-depth features that Roxio Toast 11 Titanium Pro offers.
Roxio Toast 11 Titanium Pro includes a range of features for audio conversion, video encoding, and digital media authoring. For power users and serious PC media fans, it's a worthwhile purchase, however most users will find limited value over Apple's own built-in media authoring tools. Built-in Blu-ray authoring (though at the expense of HD-DVD functionality), powerful video and audio editing tools, and a range of cool file conversion and media features make Roxio Toast 11 Titanium Pro one of the most powerful and intuitive media applications available for Mac OS X.
