Reasons to e-file your 2010 Tax Return
23 Feb
Some of the reasons to e-file your 2010 tax return.
For more than 20 years the IRS has been telling taxpayers about e-file. From the benefits of filing electronically to the way it can speed up the receipt of a refund, the IRS wants everybody to know that this is their preferred filing method.
Every year, more and more people use the e-file option. The reason is simple: it is the fastest, safest, and most efficient way to file a return. Along with this, and as noted above, when you e-file you can receive any applicable refund sooner rather than later.
There used to be a time when more people filed a paper return than electronically – this is no longer the case. Today, 7 out of every 10 people use the e-file method.
If interested in e-file you have two options: through your tax preparer or through tax software. Either way, the benefits remain the same.
Do you still have questions about electronically filing your return? If so, consider buying tax software that can walk you through the filing process. Not only will this help answer all your questions, but you will be 100 percent confident in the accuracy of your return.
Does it cost more to e-file? If you are going to pay for the help of a tax professional the answer is yes. On the other hand, you can opt to use free tax software if you have a simple return.
These are just some of the reasons to e-file your 2010 tax return. Can you think of any others?
