Using IRS Tax Resources
27 Jan
Why it makes sense to get tax help from tax software or direct from the IRS.
Getting help with your tax return can seem like an impossible task. There is no denying that you are going to have questions from time to time. Although you could hire a tax professional to show you the way, this is not always the best option if you are pinching pennies or simply want to work alone.
Your other two options include: tax software and going direct to the website for IRS Tax.
With tax software you are getting a lot of the same assistance as you would from a tax professional. A good program can help you find deductions and credits, provide accurate numbers in the right areas, and submit your return online.
Many people miss out by hiding from the IRS Tax Office as opposed to embracing the help they are willing to give. If you turn to the IRS, you can get help in a number of ways including at IRS.gov, over the phone by calling 1-800-TAX-1040, or face to face at a taxpayer’s assistance center. Obviously, you only want to schedule a face to face meeting for serious inquiries and tax issues.
As you can see, you are not alone when filing your tax return or dealing with other IRS tax issues.
