Security Shield 2010 is an all-purpose security suite for PC users. With antivirus, anti-spyware, and anti-hacker protection, Security Shield 2010 provides complete security for Windows users. Alongside its ongoing protective capabilities, Security Shield 2010 includes a built-in personal firewall, parental internet controls, and email spam filters.
PC security suites can vary in effectiveness and protective power. Some promise the world and only offer limited protection, while others focus on providing maximum possible protection for users. Security Shield 2010 certainly falls into the latter camp - powered by BitDefender technology, Security Shield 2010 provides complete protection from viruses and malicious software, all the while providing ongoing user protection and local PC security.
Security Shield 2010 includes both ongoing protective tools and local virus scanning options. Scanning causes quite a noticeable performance hit, although system scans are typically fast and relatively convenient. Security Shield 2010 can detect viruses from built-in definitions and file lists, and also from real-time behavior, ensuring complete antivirus protection.
