TuneRanger connects iTunes-running computers over any network, allowing you to copy music, video and playlists from one iTunes library to another. TuneRanger allows you to easily synchronize your iTunes music collection across multiple PCs and iTunes installations. Compatible with both Windows operating systems and Mac OSX, TuneRanger is ideal for iPod users that like to share music across computers, media-based PC networks, and housemates looking to synchronize their music collections.
Compatible with all recent versions of iTunes, TuneRanger offers functionality that iTunes' own networking options don't allow. While iTunes enables remote streaming by default - provided your computer is connected to a local network - it doesn't allow mp3 sharing. For example, while users can stream music on a remote computer, copying the file altogether is impossible.
Thankfully, TuneRanger makes that process simple. With a user-friendly interface, transferring music from one iTunes installation to another is quick and painless. While mp3 copying is relatively simple on itself using Windows' built-in networking features, TuneRanger makes it possible to share over a common connection without having to configure a home network.
TuneRanger comes with user licenses for up to four computers, ensuring that most home and small business networks will be able to install the software. Available for both Windows and Mac OSX, music sharing is possible no matter what operating system users have installed.
Finally, while documentation and tutorials are included with TuneRanger, they're relatively vague and somewhat difficult to understand. Users have reported difficulty working out processes through the documentation alone, instead recommending that users look online for tutorials and assistance.
