Precise Editing Tools
Edit SD or HD video with drag-and-drop functionality, mouse and keyboard trimming, and ripple editing. Vegas Pro 9 is an all-inclusive film editing suite, offering digital filmmakers the tools they need to create powerful digital movies, edit home video, and add special effects, filters, and other additions to their films. The latest edition of Sony Vegas, Pro 9, is host to a range of new features including Blu-Ray authoring support, an updated editing interface, and drag-and-drop HD video editing.

As the professional edition of Sony's popular video editing application, Vegas Pro 9 has far more features and editing options than the consumer editions. Designed with the HD filmmaker in mind, editing is focused on quality; a wide range of encoding and display tools ensure that even the roughest cut looks and sounds superb.

24-bit audio and 5.1 soundtrack support mean even the biggest action film will sound crisp and clear in Vegas's editing interface. Unlike other video editors which focus exclusively on picture, Vegas dedicated an equal amount of attention and care to audio editing options. This is perfect for advanced digital filmmakers looking to add a professional touch to their projects - audio is one of the most important aspects of film, and many editing suites fail to create high quality, lifelike audio.

Continuing the HD support theme, Vegas Pro 9 allows users to export their digital footage in a wide range of HD video formats.
