Adobe Premiere Elements 7 allows people to produce their own blockbuster with no experience required. The software intelligently analyzes each movie clip (including those in the newly-supported AVCHD format) for quality, number of faces, sound and more. It then applies Smart Tags so users can quickly find the best clips in seconds. InstantMovie creates professional-looking movies with a simple drag and drop of a theme onto a series of video clips. It adds a package of music, titles and transitions based on a theme such as birthday, wedding or extreme sports. Adobe Premiere Elements 7 should be available in early October 2008.

With new Videomerge, users can exercise their imagination by creating videos that make it appear as if they're performing on stage at a concert, standing in front of a popular tourist attraction or walking on the moon. Videomerge allows users to easily create a "green screen" effect and automatically place themselves within the scene, without requiring any prior video editing skills or knowledge. Users can display their finished movies on high-quality DVD or high-definition Blu-ray Disc, on any screen from a mobile phone to an HD flat screen TV, or upload directly to YouTube from within Premiere Elements.
Create your first movie in minutes
Find what you need faster using the same Organizer that's included with Adobe Photoshop Elements software. Visually tag video clips and photos to categorize by people, places, or events. Then you can view, search, and sort your assets in a variety of ways-including by filename, tag, date, and time-and quickly start making your movie. Turn a sequence of scenes into a polished movie in just a few clicks! Choose from event-based themes like Wedding and Birthday or style-based themes such as Silent Film and Music Video. Adobe Premiere Elements automatically applies coordinated transitions, music, and professionally designed layouts for titles, credits, and disc menus. Apply themes to entire projects or just the portions you specify. Create your story faster in the Sceneline, an easier alternative to the more traditional video-editing Timeline, where you can make a movie by simply dragging and dropping thumbnails of your clips, transitions, and effects. Practical new options, like the ability to copy and paste thumbnails, make the Sceneline even easier to use.
Show your style with amazing effects
Choose from a set of world-class Adobe fonts designed to look great on video, and customize them with shadows, glows, and other effects. Then animate your titles to make them bounce, spin, or zoom across your scenes. Add in background music and sound effects with the new Audio Mixer, which lets you easily adjust relative volumes. And create slideshows and movies that move to the music by letting the software detect the tempo of your soundtrack and sync the beginning and end of each scene with the beats. Easily personalize your menus! Start with professionally designed menu templates, and then type in text and drag and drop to add your own video clips, images, and audio.
Share your movies virtually anywhere
See all of your sharing options in one convenient location, the new Sharing Center. Follow easy steps for creating your movie once and then sharing it in multiple ways, including on disc, the web, and mobile devices. Add a custom, interactive menu and scene index, and then share your movie on a single-or dual-layer DVD or high-definition Blu-ray Disc that's optimized for best results. Broadcast far and wide by uploading your movies directly to YouTube or your personal sharing page. Adobe Premiere Elements 7 takes care of optimizing and formatting for the specific destination so your movies always look great.

Adobe Premier Elements 4
Not For the Average
With cool features and the easiness of use, almost anyone can post on YouTube, make a CD label, or make a photo book. Navigation is undaunting but in no way did it insult my intelligence as an experienced user. After getting started I realized that there really was an unimaginable amount that I could accomplished using Premiere, and that it helped to use the product with a little bit of an idea of what my finished product needed to look like, or I was surly going to go overboard. I was a little disappointed with the types of transitions available, but the sheer amount of other tools compensates greatly.
I recommend this product for anyone who likes to upload videos and photos to websites and for those who like sharing their creativity. 4 out of five stars.

If you really want the Adobe Premier Elements 4, I can give you mine; for FREE! Adobe makes some very good software products, but the Adobe Premium Element 4 is not one of them. The Premium Element 4 comes with a tutorial, but you will be wasting time learning how to use features you will use in no other application anywhere. Some have argued that it is not the produce, rather the misuse of the produce by persons who do not know the difference between linear and non-linear video-editing.
It is Adobe that has promoted Premier Elements 4 as a movie making software, "with all your video clips and photos at your fingertips and easy options for transforming them into polished movies." So if Premier Elements 4 is intended for merely non-linear editing, Adobe should advertise it as such. I give Adobe Premier Elements 4 a 2 / 5 stars.

One of the worst video editing and DVD creation software programs on the market! While there are many other video editing and DVD creation suites out there, but my experience with Adobe Premier Elements 4 was not enjoyable. The video authoring is supposed to allow you to create stunning DVD videos with many advanced features, but in my opinion all of the so called advanced features just got in the way and made it a little confusing to use...
With the editing wizard, editing your existing home movies or authoring new ones with these tools are supposed to provide an easy to use interface that makes the editing of your home movies and videos a quick and painless, but it is not. You would expect more from an established company such as Adobe, but they really went off the mark with Adobe Premier Elements 4. I wouldn't recommend giving it a try. I would rate this product with 2/5 stars!

"This is an affordable and easy to use option for video editing." Five out of Five stars I was able to install and use on my computer within minutes! Adobe Premiere Elements 4 is easy to install, and helped me to get my videos loaded and edited in a manner that I understood and felt in control of.
Using Adobe Premiere Elements 4 is easy, and after the initial set-up, helped me get started on cleaning up my videos, adding cool effects, and making my work shine. With so many difficult to use multimedia products on the market today, it is nice to know I found an easy-to set-up software package that allowed me to create the memory I wanted my own way.

Adobe Premier Elements 4's largest selling point is it's extra features for making your work seem professional. Whilst this is true, for your average user these extra features are nothing short of unnecessary, and I would even go far enough as to deem them cumbersome. Now, if you're a professional, the suite might be a bit down your alley, however, I was content with the earlier suites, and found that forking out the extra money simply wasn't worth the extra hassle, along with the extra features, that, even though they looked nice, I have to admit, were more hassle in navigating the user-interface than helpful.
All in all, Premier Elements 4 is best suited to those who've had a lot of experience with video suites before who have spare cash to burn, and I'd dissuade any 'amateur' editors to find a less cluttered product. 2.5 stars out of 5 from me.
