Created by JetBrains, Rider is one of the most popular code editors for .NET development. Rider's debugger that works with the .NET Framework, Mono and .NET Core applications. The IDE also includes powerful code analysis using ReSharper and helps you easily work with tests based on NUnit, xUnit.net, or MSTest. Rider is ideal for .NET applications, in addition to Unity and Unreal Engine games and Xamarin apps. Here's how to get started:
- Visit the marketplace for JetBrains plugins and search for Code Time. Click Get to download the Code Time plugin for Rider.
- After installing Code Time, open the plugin in the sidebar and follow the Getting Started instructions to set up a new account. If you already have an account, click Log in.
- In the Code Time sidebar, open the Settings view to configure Flow Mode. With Flow Mode, you can protect your time and defend against disruptions right inside IntelliJ.
- Open the Dashboard to view your most recent coding stats, including code time, coding during vs. outside work hours, and meeting time. Open the web app to view even more metrics and connect new integrations, such as Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar.
